I wonder if you know of a conversion calculator or chart I can use to help me compare the GSM to lbs standards.

Weyerhaeuser has some great paper tools on their website, including tools for determining pages per inch, price per thousand sheets, and converting paper grammage (gsm) to basis weight (lbs). Here's the link:
